This project aims to show the duality of nature through two distinct series: on one hand, the fragility and delicacy of life; on the other, its immense strength and adaptability.

The journey begins in the areas of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, where silence envelops an arid landscape that was once lush, captured here in black and white.
The skeletons of the acacia trees stand out as dark silhouettes against the pale dunes, telling a story of fragility and connection: when rainfall was abundant, the valley’s river would flood, allowing these trees to thrive; but as precipitation decreased, the area stopped receiving nourishment, and the acacias perished. Here, the invitation is to reflect on transience and the delicate balance of existence.

In the second part of the series, the intense colors along the D707 road bring us back to the strength of life.
Ostriches and oryxes appear almost like mirages in these seemingly arid and inhospitable landscapes, showing how nature, despite hardships, often finds a way to assert itself even in the most extreme places.
